Better understanding of business activities leads to more efficient organisations that act appropriately, are able to manage change and achieve objectives. Business activity models enable managers at all levels to describe, understand, communicate, cost, simulate, improve, automate their business processes.
 Author is an editor used for drawing and editing- scripting - business activity models - we call them Plays..
The role /activity diagrams produced with Author, identify the characters of the play, together with their props or materials. The script also defines the actions each character performs, their interactions - i.e. the messages and communications between them, the order of events and sequences of actions.
Author also produces Riva process architecture diagrams. These diagrams show the essential business entities of each play, the activities that relate to those entities, plus the relationships and dependencies between those activities.
Author's simple click and insert drawing mechanism automatically lays out process flows in a simple to understand format.
Author scripts can be exported to Co-Ordination Theatre to start new performances.
